Moonwell Melts FAQ
What are your wax melts made of?
Our wax melts are handmade using premium, sustainable soya wax, which is 100% plant-based. We use eco-friendly micas to colour our products, and our premium glitters are made from cellulose, and are 100% biodegradable.
Are your wax melts vegan?
Yes, absolutely! As vegans ourselves, we take great pride in creating products that are 100% vegan-friendly. We never use any animal-derived ingredients, and none of our ingredients have ever been tested on animals, at any stage of production.
Are your wax melts hand-poured?
Absolutely! We carefully hand-pour each wax melt, with love and attention to detail. We make all of our products in small batches, to ensure great quality and consistency. As a small business, we're passionate about our craft and are 100% dedicated to creating products that you will love!
How should I use your wax melts?
Our wax melts should always be used in a suitable wax melt burner. To use them, simply remove them from their packaging and snap off one or two segments (depending on the size of your burner) and place them into the bowl. If your wax burner is electric, then you can now turn it on. If it's not, then place an unscented tea light beneath the bowl and carefully light it.
Always burn candles in a well ventilated space, that's free from draughts and is out of the way of children and animals. Always place your burner on a stable surface.
Use your wax melts until the fragrance has all been used up. Unlike candles, the used wax won't burn away, and should be removed from your burner once it has cooled.
Our wax melts are highly scented, but please note that the strength of the fragrance will vary, depending on the size of your room.
How long do your wax melts last?
Each segment can provide fragrance for 10+ hours, with each bar giving 50+ hours of beautiful home fragrance.
How do I remove spent wax?
The easiest way to remove spent wax from your wax melt burner is to wait for it to completely cool and solidify, then light your tea light again for just a few minutes to gently soften the wax around the bowl (the majority of the wax should still remain solid). Extinguish the candle, and taking great care, use a tissue to gently scoop the spent wax out of the bowl. Then, dispose of it in accordance with your local refuse regulations.
If you have any other questions or queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll do our best to answer them.
