Wax Melt Instructions & Safety

Thank you for choosing Moonwell Melts. We hope our wax melts fill your space with great fragrances, and good vibes! To ensure your experience is both delightful and safe, here are some instructions and safety tips for using our hand-poured wax melts.

Getting Started:

  1. Select Your Favourite Fragrance: Choose from our range of highly-scented wax melt snap bars, then wait for your order to arrive. We aim to ship orders very quickly, so you won't have to wait too long! 

  2. Prep Your Burner: Only burn your wax melts in an appropriate wax melt burner. Place your burner on a stable and heat-resistant surface, away from flammable objects, draughts, children and pets. Before using, ensure your burner is clean and free from any residue. 

Using Your Wax Melts:

  1. Snap off 1-2 Segments: Remove you wax melt from the packaging, and depending on the size of your burner, gently snap off 1-2 pieces from your wax melt snap bar. This is all you need for a beautifully fragranced experience.

  2. Place in the Burner: Put the snapped wax melt pieces into the top dish of your wax melt burner.

  3. Add Heat: Light an unscented tealight candle in the base of your burner, or turn on your electric wax melt burner. The gentle heat will melt the wax, releasing its enchanting aroma.

  4. Enjoy the Ambience: As the wax starts to melt, your space will be filled with the captivating scent of your chosen fragrance. Our wax melts are highly scented, but the strength of the aroma may vary depending on the size of your room.

  5. Use Until the Fragrance is Gone: Keep replacing the tealight, until the scent has been used up. One or two segments of our wax melt bars should last around 12-15 hours. 
  6. Dispose of the Used Wax: Allow the spent wax to cool, then reheat slightly to melt just the base of the wax, making it easier to remove. Using a cloth or cotton pad, carefully slide the used wax out of your burner and dispose of it in accordance with your local refuse rules. 

Safety First:

  1. Never Leave Unattended: Ensure your wax melt burner is always attended while in use.

  2. Keep Out of Reach: Place your burner out of the reach of children and pets to prevent accidental contact.

  3. Use in an Appropriate Area: Enjoy your wax melts in a room with proper ventilation to ensure the fragrance disperses evenly, but never place your wax melt burner in a draught. 

  4. Check the CLP Label: For information on ingredients, allergens, hazards, warnings please check the CLP label on the back of your wax melt  

  5. Avoid Overfilling: Use only 1-2 pieces of wax at a time to prevent overflowing and to extend the longevity of your wax melt bars.

  6. Extinguish Carefully: If using a tealight burner, blow out the candle flame once you're done enjoying the fragrance. Allow the wax to cool and solidify before touching the burner.
